Arabian remains in Velez Malaga

A wall surrounded Vélez - Málaga in the muslim period. Some of the paintings of the defensive belt still conserved, and also one of the access to the medina.It received the name of Puerta Real de la Villa because that is the place where Catolic Kings passed through the city.

La Fortaleza is a citadel which started its construction in the 10th century. It had diferent uses along yhe history and it also sufered damages because of the napoleonic siege. Nowayadas we can see la Torre del Homenaje and some of the paintings of its walls restored.
