IES Almenara de Vélez - Málaga
IES Almenara (Almenara Secondary School) is a school of Secondary Education and Bilingual studies with an ICT project and Baccalaureate. It is located in the city of Vélez - Málaga and is attended by a large number of foreign students from different backgrounds so their integration, as well as respect, understanding and tolerance towards their respective languages and cultures is a challenge and at the same time a great opportunity for learning and enrichment.
The center has a wide educational offer that covers the whole secondary education (12-18), scientific, technological, social sciences and humanities baccalaureate, as well as a cycle of FPB (Basic Professional Formation) on information and communications.
We want to make this project a reference for other schools that want to imitate this experience by demonstrating how society and schools can and should cooperate through association and the active participation of citizens, promoting these same values among students. This materializes in the collaboration between our schools and in the final results of our project.
